Late last year the Nine Network in Adelaide completed its move from its Tynte Street studio to its new CBD studio and offices at 169 Pirie Street, Adelaide. It took a year to prepare and fit out the Hindmarsh Square building, including an Adelaide “first”: a glass-fronted studio at street level to allow the public to view Nine News live and see the studio in operation. “These new premises are a game-changer for Nine and provide the opportunity for our business to be the pre-eminent media brand in the heart of the CBD,” said Nine Adelaide’s Managing Director, Sean O’Brien. “It has been a complex project with more than 27,000 man-hours behind it that has involved extending the building facade, the installation of more than 100kms of cables, upgrading the power supply, a new data centre linking Nine News to the world, new signage, studio, and modern facilities for all employees.
“We have also procured new technology including robotic studio and remote fixed cameras. “To say we are excited about our new home is an understatement. With our ratings position stronger than ever we are now equipped to set the benchmark with technology, community engagement and innovation. ”We were honoured to be involved in the refurbishment, providing uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and computer room air conditioning (CRAC) to keep Nine Adelaide connected to the rest of the world. We will soon be providing similar products to the Nine Network in Perth.
